Our Surgeons

At the Centre, our surgeons are highly skilled and qualified Plastic Surgeons. They are:

  • members of the Plastic and Reconstructive division of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS)
  • members of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS)
  • members of the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS)
  • affiliated with major teaching hospitals
  • formally trained in specialised cosmetic and plastic surgery techniques.

Beware! - In Australia, any doctor can practice cosmetic surgery, regardless of whether or not they have had any appropriate or advanced surgical training

Select your surgeon carefully.

  • The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons strictly recommend that all surgery be performed only by appropriately qualified specialist surgeons
  • Ensure your surgeon is a member by looking for the FRACS qualification after their name - this indicates that the doctor has undertaken the years of formal education, specialized training and surgical residencies to become a surgeon
